Martin Coleman - Biog
Martin initially learned his craft at Butlins, Minehead, Europe's largest residential holiday resort. Starting as a Redcoat, he soon focused his concentration on the art of hosting and DJing. Over the next five years he rose through the ranks eventually becoming the resident pro compere.
His four year residency in the 2,000 capacity adult cabaret venue, 'Barnums' saw him work with literally hundreds of artistes, including a 'Who's Who' of famous names. Martin was also later commissioned by Butlins to write, produce and present his own off-the-wall game show 'Mad For It' which then featured in the entertainment programme for two consecutive years.
He went on to open three highly successful 'Jumpin Jaks' venues in Swansea, Cardiff and Stevenage. As Ents Manager for this high street live entertainment brand, Martin threw huge party-driven nights for many thousands of people each week, DJ-ing and presenting visiting artists as well as hosting audience participation game-shows, national competitions and celebrity guest stars.
As Corporate Projects Manager for Eminence Leisure, he was responsible for producing shows on a much grander scale at such prestigious venues as Wembley, The London Palladium and Disneyland Resort Paris, including the full West End production of ‘Grease Is The Word’.
With this wealth of experience behind him, Martin decided to go back to his 'passionate roots' and operate freelance. Available as a personality DJ & MC for events all over the UK and abroad, as well as private functions and parties, Martin supplies many corporate event companies who appreciate the advantages of using a seasoned performer.
